| | Mrs A was positioning her Audio Visual equipment on one of our black glass tv stands, which we also installed for her, to the right of the TV. 1/ We pulled out the fuse spare for her fire in order to check the way was clear for our leads. 2/ Below this we used a white plaster back box that we slightly modified, to pull the component leads through, giving a really clean finish | | The point at which the leads exited the wall was then covered using a clean white faceplate. The finishing touches are then added, ensuring the new Philips Ambilight Screen is level and fully functioning. We tidy as we go and will give a quick once over with our vaccuum before we leave. |
Mr & Mrs C Install - LCD TV installed on the wall above a fire with hidden wires in the wall | | Mr & Mrs C had decorated their living room and decided to move the mirror from above the fireplace and put the tv in its place. Here you can see the false chimney breast (minus the mirror) where they wanted the tv to be as flat as possible. Their Sky+ box and dvd player were to be siuated to the bottom left of the fireplace on the unit that they are currently using for the TV. As with many customers they hadn't considered what they would do with all the wires once the Tv was on the wall, so a quick investigation revealed a plasterboard wall with a small cavity before a more substantial Aerated breeze block wall. We suggested hiding the wires within the wall without ruining their decor.
| | Here you can see our installer fixing the bolts that will later be used to secure the Wall Bracket. He used one of our specialist Plasterboard Wall fixing kits to give a strong secure fixing to the plasterboard. | | Once the Wall bracket is levelled and secured, he then cuts a small section out of the plasterboard (making sure it will later be covered by the TV!) through which he feeds the power cables for the TV, Scart lead and HDMI cables required for the Sky+ box and DVd player that will be connected. | | He then finishes off the hole in the plasterboard wall with a modified white back box and faceplate in order to achieve a really clean finish. | | At the point in the wall where the leads and cables were to exit, another small hole is cut. | | A special 'fishing' tool is used to guide the wires and leads from the entrance point below the tv Wall bracket down to the exit point. | | Another white plasterboard back box and wall plate are used to achieve a really clean finish. | | And here is the finished look, a really clean and showroom style finish with the minimum of fuss and disruption. |
